Unfortunately, my very old, but much loved car has come to the end of its days. I had a lovely Mercedes 300 TE which has done over one hundred and fifty thousand miles for me, with little trouble. I bought the car with almost a hundred thousand miles on the clock so to end it’s life approaching nearly 250k is not bad at all!
This time around I would obviously like to find something a bit more modern, but I don’t really want to venture away from the excellent Mercedes marque. I have been looking around a bit and I came across some lovely looking motors on a decent car buying site. There were lots of different Mercedes
available, but I was particularly interested in buying a C Class estate. They had a nice five year old C Class Estate with the two and a half litre V 6 engine – a great engine with decent economy too, and they were only asking for £3500. I managed to contact the dealer, and over the phone I managed to negotiate a £400 discount, should I like
the car during the test drive.
Upon driving the car, I had no hesitation to buy. I was amazed at how much cars had come on, and it felt a hundred times better than my old Merc’ to drive. As soon as we got out of the car I headed the cash over to the dealer, and drove it away there and then!
